A librarian by trade, I've been dabbling in web design for about 5 years now. I love the detail aspect of coding and the creativity involved in designing a "look" for a site. I am proficient in HyperText Markup Language (HTML) 4.01 and eXtensible HyperText Markup Language (XHTML) 1.0 as well as Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), thus I am a firm supporter of standards-compliant coding following the recommendations of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). I also have some experience with eXtensible Markup Language (XML) and eXtensible Stylesheet Language Transformations (XSLT) 1.0.
This site includes a number of guides with links to various online resources that I find useful, and resources on colors. I've also included a history of my web design experience, including how I got interested in web design and links to some of the sites I've worked on.
